  My Wife & I Came Across our Niece in the street today....Am I shunned ? Apostate ? or not ?

  it was quite unexpected , we were walking my mil`s dog when we saw my neice up ahead , after leaving a morning meeting oh ,theirs xxxx , ( what will we do ,what will she do ?

  ) my wife who is a genuinely loving person , with good pr i might add , unhesitatingly welcomes and embraces her as a long lost freind/relative , my neice reciprocates ,saying" i miss you, i really miss you "to my wife then turns to me and says i miss you too uncle xxxx , and embraces me also , saying i miss you both .

  (reading between the lines come back to the meetings ) just the way she said it .. a week ago the witnesses bypassed my house as they went d2d , ?

  I can't open that utube so I don't know the full story. While I don't wish I was dead I struggle at times with the thought that it wouldn't bother me too much if I was told that I would die tomorrow. I suspect that I have dysthymia and that it set in after I woke up from the WT deceit with the subsequent loss of my marriage ,family, financial security and death of my daughter. I know this may sound strange but I do enjoy living it's just that at times I relate to the thoughts of the song "Is this all there is to life"

  Then I think of the movie Life of Brien and their hanging on the cross singing " Always look on the bright side of life"

  warm brisbane.. 3 days driving up ... 3 days at the country's top rockabilly/psychobilly festival.... 3 days driving down.

  Do You Have ABANDONMENT ISSUES?

  through being "kept busy", jw parents can become emotionally distanced from their children, thus creating abandonment issues which manifest themselves later in adult life.

  I'm the rescuer type with the need to be needed and have been drawn into several futile romantic relationships with BPD's who have strong abandonment fears. My early childhood experience was never being good enough.

  What I consistently heard as a JW from the literature and the platform was your not good enough. No matter how hard you tried it was never enough They would quote that scripture from one of the minor prophets that Maybe you will be saved during the big A

  I believe that JW kids will sense that their parents love if you can call it love is conditional and develop fears of abandonment. How can any parent disown their kids when they don't buy into the bullshit and say it's because they love them

  A thought about the "imperfect men" excuse for false teachings.

  in researching and writing this, a thought occurred to me.... has anyone ever asked this: if the society is "the faithful and discreet slave" of mat 24, they have been given authority over all of christ's belongings (including the people), are spirit-led and god's sole means of communication, and are entrusted with revealing "food at the proper time", why are they held to a lower standard than the "other sheep"?.

  if they blatantly violate scripture, if they make false prophecies, if they reverse their decisions repeatedly, if they go way beyond what is written, if they hold a position for years or decades which is obviously and finally admitted to be false, they are given a total pass as "imperfect men" and "not infallible".

  meanwhile, if you or i have a belief jws feel is "wrong" - we're not spirit-directed mouthpieces of god - why are we "apostates"?

  the jw women who are willing to dump their husband if he ceases to believe.

  especially if they have children, i mean what are they thinking?

  Problems developed with my marriage when my wife began to realize that I had no intentions of ever going back to the cancer. We went to see a psyche. He told her she had cognitive dissonance... that it would not matter what I said... That even if I spoke about the weather she would find fault. He told her that only she could change her perception of me. After that counseling session she changed... suddenly we were like a honeymoon couple again..... but it did not last very long. The dissonance was ...Should she trust her own judgment about me or what the Borg said I must be ( an evil person that can't be trusted) She also rejected our son and daughter. They moved out and lived with me. Thankfully I was able to save both myself and them from the cult mentality.

  The WT says You can't have a happy marriage unless your both serving Jehovah the GB And they will ,with their propaganda, do their best to make sure you don't. As my psychologist said "All the Elders were in the marriage bed with my wife and I"
